Booking software for independent braiders
Braids aren’t one length. Your booking page shouldn’t pretend they are.
BraidDeck works out the price and the length of each appointment from what the client picks — size, length, hair, add-ons — then offers only the times where the whole appointment fits, and takes a deposit to hold it.
Being piloted with Kerandy Hair Braiding & Beauty Supply in Greeley, Colorado, and looking for a few more braiders to test it.
The booking problems it's built for
- Every style is a different length
- Small knotless to the waist and large to the shoulder are different days of work. Booking software that gives a service one fixed length blocks out too much or too little.
- Clients book times that can't fit
- A four-hour install offered at 3pm when you stop at 6 is a booking you have to undo by message.
- The price comes out in the DMs
- Size, length, hair, add-ons — the real price is worked out in conversation, one client at a time.
- Deposits are chased by hand
- A slot is only safe once the deposit lands, and keeping track of who has paid is another job.
What BraidDeck does about them
- Price and length from the client's choices
- You enter each style once, with what every option adds in money and in time. Clients see both totals change as they choose.
- Only start times that fit
- Worked out from your hours, the time you need to finish by, your turnaround, how much notice you need, and what is already booked.
- A deposit to book, into your own Stripe account
- The slot is held while they pay and confirmed when the money arrives. If you have written policies, they agree to them before paying.

On a 9–6 Saturday that is offered at 9:00 or 9:30 and nothing after — 10:00 would finish past closing.
The quickest way to understand it is to book something. Try the booking demo — an invented studio, nothing real booked or charged.

Before you decide
- How Kerandy uses BraidDeck — her real catalogue and price table on a live page, and an honest note on what hasn’t been measured yet.
- Pricing — no subscription. A booking fee of $2 + 3% of the deposit, paid by your client on top of it, worked through with real numbers.
- Features and limitations — including what it doesn’t do: one braider per account, and no marketing or client-finding tools.
Built close to the chair
I’m Kevin, the developer behind BraidDeck. My mother owns Kerandy Hair Braiding & Beauty Supply in Greeley, Colorado, and I help improve the systems behind the business.
Watching real appointments made the problem obvious: a braiding appointment changes with every choice the client makes, and booking software that treats it as one fixed block leaves the braider to make up the difference. I am not a braider and don’t pretend to be one — BraidDeck is built and piloted around a real business’s catalogue, hours and deposits.
What testing involves
- Your styles and prices, entered for you
- Read off whatever you use now — a price list, your current booking page, Instagram — and loaded before you sign in.
- A booking page that is yours
- Your name, your own web address, your photographs, colours and fonts.
- Setup and fixes directly from the developer
- No support queue. When something is wrong you say so and it gets fixed.
- A real say in what gets built
- Early enough that what you say changes the product.
What’s asked in return
- Use it for real bookings, not a test account.
- Say when something is confusing or broken, even when it seems small.
- A short call every couple of weeks during the test, if you can spare it.
It is early: one developer, one piloted business and a short list of testers. Expect hands-on setup and quick fixes — and some rough edges.
Want to test it with your own clients?
Testing is free to join, and the booking fee during your test is agreed with you before you take a single booking.
